Guess you can call it the middle Coast  ;D,  well it the gulf coast , here in Gulfport Mississippi , every year, and for a week , and getting bigger every year, just park along the beach and throw out a chair and watch every kind of car pass by, but some are very questionable

This is the car now. The original guy was going to do it, but he was an idiot. His work looked good and was about the same as a shop. But he wasn't primering it and there fish eyes all over the place. He wanted to prime it, which I thought he was going to. It was a nightmare. I was having a great Saturday driving out to Middleton with my best friend and this idiot calls me and tells me there is fisheye all over and said he solvent washed it and everything. He was more than a body shop when done so I was pissed and said no thank you. I think he was trying to bill me more than he should to get more of a trade. This is now at the Shave Shoppe here in Nampa. We're doing his alignments now also for his shop after he does tires after Friday when the guys are trained on the AccuTurn.

But the other guy put foil on it. I thought Ken was kidding. Ken is going (from the Shave Shoppe) to tape it off and remove the aluminium foil from the car. It's getting a yellow primer, then block sanded, then tapped and sprayed. I'm doing the engine bay in black, just in case I beat the crap out of it when the engine is replaced with the 2.3 EFI. He bakes it for an hour and then sprays the single stage with a clear and then bakes it again.

He's really good!

THIS CAR IS GONNA POP!!!!

The car is getting closer now!

Will be painted today :) In the paint booth. I can't wait until I see how this one pops when it's done! It's gonna be the brightest yellow!!!

I can't wait to get the engine in there. I will have the guys take pictures of each weld and everything being done here. I'll put it in the 2.3 EFI engine swap also. That should help anyone else and pinto_one should also be able to help!

Spoke to Dave on Facebook! He's making a custom ashtray for his Pinto now!

On a more serious note though, why yellow? No problems with yellow, it looks really nice, I just find that sometimes people have some interesting story or reason for their color choice.

I just think these cars look bad a$$ with yellow. The way with yellow. The way with being done this is being being done this thing will really pop. Blacked out windows in the back it will just look really cool I think. There's no special reason for the yellow other than I like it ;D

Yeah :)  It's pretty cool :) The yellow will really pop. The color is going to be a single stage yellow and then hit with a light clear coat to make it really really shinny!

This is the Pinto primed. I guess he does things in stages. I would have just primed it and shot it, so I learned something new. He has a big paint booth, but he does a color change differently. I love the paint job so far and this is it in yellow primer. Pretty cool, you can get paint in different colors!

This is the Pinto painted with a first coat with single stage. What he does is paint a first coat only on the car with single stage. When he gets to the second coat, he mixes a 50/50 paint along clear to make it pop more. Pretty cool actually!

Gonna do this myself now if I paint myself!
