New Wheels Question
« on: December 17, 2009, 12:35:04 PM »
I have a '74 Coupe project.  I've always been a Ford fan but this is my first Pinto.  American Racing is making a retro of the original slot wheels in 4 lug that measure 7" X 17" with a 4" backspace.  Before I spend the money, does anybody know what the biggest wheel and tire is that could fit these buggers.  I'm thinking of a 215/40 in 17" for the front and 45's on the back.  Turning rub and wheel lip gouges are my concern.  Any help would be great and if they work pictures will follow.
