i got a 1973 pinto roundabout i was wondern if they are rare and im going to restore it and i am also wondering is the motor gonna die it runs strong but it has the 2.0 4 banger with 146k original miles any tips please let me no ty

Hi Ty!  :welcome:  to the club! ;D
 
Studying the picture as best as I can, I can see that it looks like you have a trunk model or sedan, not a Runabout. I think those are more scarce than the Runabouts are. That's ok if it isn't a Runabout... two of the four Pintos I have/had were/are trunk models. I personally prefer hatchbacks, but there are great folks who prefer the trunk model and its looks. Regardless, I hope you have lots of fun with your new old car.
 
If the engine runs strong, and has good compression, then I would keep it as is. The 2.0s are strong lil' engines if they're taken care of.
 
In case I wasn't clear in the first paragraph... the Runabout is a hatchback and the trunk model has a lil' trunk and half-size window. A chrome or potmetal emblem saying RUNABOUT should be present on the outside pillar (?) directly behind the rear quarter window.  Good luck!

ooo yea it runs great dosent burn oil and dosent leak anywhere so i guess it is rare sweet ty for the tips and knolowdge of the car

I think you got yourself a good deal! These are fun lil' cars with lots of potential. I would love to see interior shots! I love Pinto (and other cars') interiors!  ;D

ill get some to ya its all brown with almost no rips and its a 1 owner car i got all the origianl paper work even the manule from the factory  :smile:
