My 1974 Pinto Squire

I bought this last spring, had to trailer it home as it was not running.



Was told that the timing belt had broken, a new one was installed, but not correctly. After aligning the timing marks, the timing belt was reinstalled correctly. It fired right up.The original exhaust is in need of replacement.

At least it still had all of the trim-faded, but undamaged. Started looking for some of the trim clips-have the original Ford parts books on cd.


  Finished up front brakes this weekend, replaced brake hoses, rotors, calipers, and pads.
I will take some more pictures after it's off of the jack stands, and outside!

While it was up on jackstands, I decided to remove the oil pan, it's been leaking at the drain plug. It got dented on something, most likely a rock. Had it off in about an hour. It ended up not being repairable, and am prepping a used one I had to install.



I worked at Ford in the 70's, and did the piston scuff recall on the 2.3L in the Pinto's, and Mustang 2's.
