Check out my rear!
« on: August 22, 2003, 10:00:03 AM »
Howdy y'all,  I've got a problem here, I own a '74 Pinto coupe which I bought from a guy who put an 8" rear end in it.  Anyway in the rain last night I hit  a wall and bent an axle. The axle is a 5 lug and I'm assuming the entire rear was swapped from a Mustang II or something. Any idea what axle I should be looking for?  Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Dave

The Mustang II used a four lug, it could be off  an early model mustang 1st generation, Falcon, Comet ect. from the early to mid '60s as they used 8 inch rears with 5 lug axles i believe. Maybe even the Granada.
