1974 Pinto Wagon turbo swap

Hi all,
I am currently in the process of swapping the engine and tranny from an '86 turbo coupe into my wagon and was wondering if subframe connectors are going to be needed or not. Also, I was looking for some ideas to mount a fuel cell in the rear.

I don't know about the sub connecters. But as for ideas on a fuel cell, my 2.3T mustang has a 255lph fuel pump installed from the top into it's OEM gas tank.

Unless it is a deliberate drag car I doubt most run sub connectors. And even then I doubt many do. Maybe with a V-8 it would be more of a necessity.


  My turbo wagon runs the stock tank with an external Ford F-150 fuel pump (no feeder pump). It is encased in a foam lined, sheet metal housing with the pink label on it. Not pretty but it gets the job done. The return line was plumbed through the sender unit. Also it is advisable to use the factory shut off switch.
