My entire family (All racers) and everyone at work are Chevy Fans. I like to be different.

A few specs:

460 BBF bored 30 over (Complete roller motor)
Complete tube chasis.
Front end and doors all fiberglass
All windows a lexan
Car weighs 2800 going down the track.
Pulls the front wheels about 2 ft in the air. (what a rush)

I get more attention at the track than any Camaro, mustang, etc.....

Nice ride. I'm glad to see you running the wagon. In the early 80's a friend and I ran a 77 with a 514 that went 8.60's at 156 MPH. The thing that's really cool about the big block cars, is that they are Torque Monsters. On launch, they just ball the slicks up and throw the car. What a rush. Best of luck to you and your sweet lil Pinto. WELCOME to Ford Pinto.

Thanks. 8.60's is very impressive. I was watching a video on here of the 2.3 turbo making a 8 sec pass and was kind of ashamed my big Block only goes 9's. :hypno:  I was very shocked the 1st time I launched the car. No way did I think it was going to pick that heavy BBF up.

I race at www.us13dragway.com in Delmar, DE. I raced at Maple Grove several years ago. (Not the pinto, it was a dragster) I love the paint on yours. 8)

Sweet! a wagon that "really hauls"! anything under 11 is fast, under 9 is almost supersonic! Beautiful car!

10pm and just got back from the track. We bumped the timing back to slow car down and keep in the 10's. Made it 5 rounds which was pretty good since I had to keep letting out so not to run out. ;D In round 4 my opponent red lighted so I ran it out and ran a 9:97 with the car all over the track. (Getting late and moisture all over the track.

Man I love my Pinto. 8)
