seeking 2.8 parts
« on: December 10, 2022, 03:02:11 PM »
Hi all.

It has been a few years since I have signed into the forums here. I do stop by frequently to see what's going on when i have a few spare minutes.

Currently building ford ranger pick ups and this has been keeping me out of trouble and under the hoods. we still have the red 78 pinto that we built years back, so all is good there!!
Currently seeking the carb plate for the 70's style 2.8. Rebuilding a 80's 2.8 but streaming out the non needed "items" from this engine. the carb spacer on it is twice the size of the 70's style, so seeking a 70's one if you have a 2.8 that you have on the floor and never needing, or know where i can find 1....
also many guys in the ranger community are seeking 2.8 distributors from the 70's style 2.8's so if you have any of these you want to sell let me know.
cheers

If the original carb is a 2100 or similar Autolite, maybe a vintage Mustang parts supplier might have what you're looking for.  I use CJ Pony Parts.  Just a suggestion...
