Cardone getting whored out like all the others ala Walmart battle plan.......... ........before I left one of the big two, they were converting all Cardone to generic 'duralast', 'masterpro', take your pick. The quality had been dropping for a while as well. Many boxes opened to find broken part, or things missing right from the warehouse but you have no idea of how much 'we aim to please you, yes, bring back that part you broke due to your stupidity and we will happily replace it' has happened there. They will be commonly simply taking warrantied product and throwing it back in a clean box to resell it since the vendors were always waving '80% of all returns have nothing WRONG WITH THEM!!' statements in our faces anyway. Many times doing that results in missing small parts that are supposed to come with the part to make it operable. Maybe 30% of all rebuilt was bad out of the box over all lines, or stupid ridiculous. The stupidity of the average backyard mech has gotten worse not better than when I sold parts in the late '70s, and why you get so much garbage at the part store now. No sense putting quality in rebuilt if buyer is too stupid to realize it. Of course all our business clients decried what was going on too, but they could not control any of it. They got really upset when multiple special order rebuilt parts come in and all are missing something. I've had to cobble up viable parts by swiping stuff from 2-3 boxes to make one good part and warranty the rest as bad.
Cardone will be forced to subsidize their name and business to Moloch to survive a bit longer, just like so many other great names in US auto repair. They will eventually simply disappear.
