Thanks to assistance from Scott, I'm back under my former handle (stevefromcpr)--thanks again Scott.
Yes, our '73 is "that one" from ebay, and my wife could not resist it. We had it trucked from Oregon to CT in March of this year. Even though it's very original and low miles (still under 20k), it still needed a pretty good amount of work, which was accomplished over most of the summer, and now it's finally fully driveable and reliable.
On the fire extinguisher at Hershey, AACA national meets require you to have a fire extinguisher with the car, and many people kind of stick them under their front tire like that, so that they're readily visible to the judges (which we complied with, even though we had our car entered as "do not judge" in the show).
And the other thing I need to thank Scott and fordpinto.com for here is the heads-up about the Collectible Automobile Pinto feature, for which we had our car photo'd a couple of months back, and as per the issue that just arrived in yesterday's mail (Jan/Feb '05 issue, I think--sorry, don't have it in front of me right now...), we did indeed make the publication. VERY COOL! The C.A. story looks extremely detailed, and I'm looking forward to reading it!
Thanks and Happy Pinto Thanksgiving everyone,
Steve
