Do any of you guys have experiance with the one piece fiberglass front clip? I've been planning to buy one for years but, I'm pretty impatient with body work. I'm sure they are going to need some work to fit good.
I've been eyeing those too. Always shied away from buying one because I figured some glasswork would be involved to make it work. Not sure though.
A quality piece would need some trimming to get to fit properly. It shouldn't need any major surgery to go on the car.
They are pretty cool if you set them up right. Body work is not really the issue. The real challenge is conforming and fastening it to the body. And if you want it to tilt forward on hinges...well that requires some inginuity. I put one on a 69 Javlin, it even raised and lowered by using the lift system out of a convertable. If you get that front end I would like to see pictures....or share with me where you purchased it.

Harry glass in Jacksonville,Fl. has one..He says its a direct bolt on.. He claimed to have made the mold from his 77 pinto.
Thats right I have seen that front clip plug in the lot behind the shop...
I'm related to Hairy West... his stuff is not junk.
alot better than A-1 and the rest.

Are you going to make it pin-on or flip front?
pics pics!
I think I`ll make it a pin on, tilt is just too much hassle..
I was told the maker of this front clip was http://www.bruisglassworks.com/pinto.html
I called the maker and they said they didn`t offer pinto fiberglass, I pointed out to them that there web site says they did..
Long stort short, there customer service sux..
If they did make this clip I must say it is race weight fiberglass, very thin in spots.. It will take awhile before I can check the fit... I want to add some more glass to the week spots..
I wouldn`t have paid full price for there glass, the quality just isn`t there but for what I paid for it.. I couldn`t good wrong.
(Thank Coy)
Here are a few pics of it.

Wedge446,
I pictured it with the hood integrated into it...You wouldn.t need to tilt that cause you can flip the hood. I like it...I particularly like the bumper integration. If you fab the right stuff you could bolt that baby on. Thumbs up.

hairy glass is what i thought
i have his stuff on my 71 ,glass front end /hood/trunk lots of fitting work to get it to look right my 71 went 10.27@131.50 mph
I had a one piece fiberglass front end on my '73 Pinto. I had a L88 scoop molded onto it and it was pinned on in six places - near the windshield, at the front (the more-or-less "normal" location) and behind the front wheels. It was difficult to remove unless you had two people lifting it. When I sold that car the new owner supposedly cut out the "hood" portion to make it easier to check the oil...
I ordered it fron JC Whitney - I have no idea who made it.
the hood on my 71 weights about 3 pounds you can pick it up with 1 finger and the trunk is made of ultra-light weight glass and weights1.1 pound. im not sure what the rest of the front end weights as it was on the car when i got it.
