Wa. St. crusin wagon
« on: October 04, 2008, 07:23:25 PM »
A friend just called and said there was a crusin wagon for sale in a near by town, I'm headed down there tomorrow for a look at it and get the price plus the phone number. The car is sitting outside of Orting Wa.
I'll have more details in the morning and will post them for anybody interested.

    Thanks,

Hey Farmboy:

If you can, get some pics of the CW, that is always helpful for us.

It's a 77 crusin wagon, the body is straight but has some rust issues, 2.3 motor, the panels are in great shape, drivers seat looks like hes been hauling tigers around, but pass. seat is good, carpet is bad also, glass is good.
He said it ran fine but timing belt jumped and dos'ent run very good any more, but that was a couple years ago, new dist., the grill is also broken,  no idea how many miles it has

Hi Folks:

I am posting the pictures that Farmboy took of the CW in Wa.  I think someone
should save this one.  Does need work but they didn't make that many of these.

Thanks,

Wow that looks almost identical to my car however it is missing the spoiler.  What color interior does it have?  What are they asking for it? 4spd or auto?

Tigger, it's a 4 speed, I think the interior is a tan color, the inside cloth panels looked in good shape, all the For sale sign said was

77pintocw, LOL, I already have two orange wagons and one Mustang.  The wagons are not quite twins but they are both orange. Teresa will kill me if I bring a fourth one home ::)  I do wish my CW was a 4spd instead of a C3.

Hey TIGGER:

One orange Pinto, two orange Pintos and an ORANGE MUSTANG!!!  WOW
Seriously, your orange '79 really looks nice.  When you get time post some
pics of it, I would really like to see more.  Yup, my CW is a 4sp and I really
like it so I know what you mean.

Wow $800.....I paid $350 for mine but it has come a long way since then.  I would do like Farmboy says and offer a couple hundred and see what he says.  You also may want to ask if he knows what happenend to the front spoiler.  Hopefully he has it somewhere collecting dust as they are not cheap to replace.

77pintocw, thanks for the complement.  My dad ordered the 79 new, his first new car.  He absolutely loves that car.  It is pretty much original.  All I added was a sport steering wheel and the slots.  It is not perfect but it is in nice shape for its age.  I have some more pictures of it on my gallery page however I noticed that I did not post any pictures of the interior.  I will post some in the next couple days.  The 79 is a 4spd car.  Not that the factory 2.3l's have a lot of power to begin with but with the C3, the CW is way more sluggish than the 79

Thanks for the heads up,..will do.
I know the area pretty well, hes just past the soldiers home on the left at the bottom of the hill. I have a friend who lives at the top. I've often wondered what kind of goodies he had back there.

A couple years ago the guy with the semis on the corner had a lime green 71, at the time I wasnt collecting, so I missed out.

Thanks again for the heads up on the battery,..

Cheers.
