The route I originally planned was to go from Los Angeles on up, but with the summer heat it may be wiser to go the more northerly route from San francisco area especially with a contingent of un-airconditioned vehicles. This trip would be longer by 160 miles, with a total of 2762 miles. So route 80 is looking like the yellow brick road. I was planning on having people join as we go, so if it happens, all are welcome join us as we would pass your neck of the woods. I may even have stickers for the windows to commemorate the trip, with a sticker for each major stop along the way. Giving the Pintos the look of an old well traveled suitcase when they arrive. I appreciate any comments, good or bad. I have contacted Mustangs across Amercia to get some feedback, and they have been very helpfull and have many of the details worked out from experience. Our biggest obstacle will be support vehicles, so as Brian Berg stated, we don't have Pinto carnage scattered across the country, that would be bad. We all must arrive!
