I don't know if I would be tasting anything but if you have antifreeze in the engine and the heater core is leaking you would have a sweet smell inside the car most of the time. Do a smell test...not a taste test

RSM is right. You DON'T want to even TASTE antifreeze. A spoonful of the stuff can kill a large dog. Don't take chances like that- even a taste. Antifreeze has a distinctive smell though, and you'd know if it's a heater core. Check for dampness on the pass. side floor. Chances are, you merely have a leaky windshield gasket or it's coming through the door via the seals. My late great '72 had previously (not with me!) been in a gnarly accident so the driver door never quite sealed. When we'd have a storm, I was guaranteed a pond in the back seat floorboard that brought up some nasty ghosts. Anyway, with the warm weather coming on, the trapped moisture is condensing on the glass. I hope this helps.

One question that wasn't asked...was it raining or anything when the moisture appeared?? The only time when I see moisture on the inside of windows is in the winter time when I'm in the car with the wife and......never mind.

I second beicholz.
Mine ran me ragged trying to figure it out.
Fogged up and oily windshield all the time.
I unhooked the heater hoses, blew the core out, end of problems.
We never had drips on the floor, as I guess it was running out the A/C drain.
And yes, changing it will be a pain in the butt.
Being a larger than normal human, I will put it off until AFTER the weather turns cold (of course) to get it done.
