lower control arms
« on: November 15, 2005, 11:05:29 AM »
will the control arms off a mustang fit the pinto? or vise versa?

cause i know the mustang has two different size control ares on like like 13 inches long and the oens of the gt with the 5.0 are like 15 inches long.

for a race better cmaber and stuff. :) was wondering if they would work on the pinto and vise versa

Hey Mini19Stock,
I thought the Mustang "Fox Body"
 Has strut front end?????
The Mustang II parts will work.

dont know bro. trying to get some info on the pinto's we run mustangs for mini-stocks but use the pinto trany to get our gearing right.

and by the way the pinto tranny bolts up to a 2.3 we run the 2.3 motors

i was mainly talking about the lower control arms too i know there is a difference on the car with the shocks and stuff.

i cant find any pinto's around here when people hear the word they laugh right after it.

might want to get one just to have one and make people laugh

Hello Eric,
The 4 spd Bell is getting hard to find because guys like your brother KEEP blowing them up! ;D
I do not have the bell you seek.

Have you tried the shifter that wasa imported for the Pinto Hummer transmission?
www.racerwalsh .com and call them and ask for ED.
He had 2 left last time we spoke.
They are BIG $ but they do not break.

the funny thing is we dont even know how it broke but man you can reach right down inside and not worried about getting cut lol.

we got a 50 lap race this weekend and we where checking the cars and saw that. could not miss it really and it is on the top side which confuses us even more.

will check those shifters out thanks for the info
