How Insane is a 302 Pinto.
« on: September 05, 2003, 10:31:01 PM »
??? My dad is trying to get me out of my Pinto project. Now I was wondering how hard a 302 Pinto is to control? I will only be putting 289 Heads(better CR) /Ported and polished/Chevy 350 valve springs and rockers adapted,Comp Cam (Torque Setup),Headers and 4BBL Aluminum Intake with a Jetted Holley 600CFM Carb. I plan on connecting the frame and changing springs all around. And Converting it to power steering.Ladde r Bars Maybe?

Thanks Guys.

My dad drags a 302 71 pinto and he is the guy that they send down the track when it is wet because it handles like a go-kart.
Only once in the past five years has the back end ever slid sideways off of the line. so yes it is easy to handle even with slicks and a mini spool...
