cluster help

soo again im new.....none of the lights on my instrument cluster work well the alt ,brake warning type lights work but the ones that light up up so you can see the gauges work circuit board is in very poor shape it has been messed with taped ect.....so i bought a cluster off ebay its in great shape.....but i was told it would work in my car.....BIG NO looks the same but wiring harness in my car is bigger than the cluster i bought the cluster i bought came out of a "1972" i own a 1974 wagon??? anyone have a cluster for a 74?? and does anyone need a cluster for a 72??? thanks
