Does any one know the axle width of a 1973 wagon ? And does a Fox body Mustang bolt right in?

Dont know the width of a 73 but if its the same as any other pinto it should be around 57".
As for a fox body mustang rear bolting in it will never just bolt in they use a link rear suspension and not leafs. You would have to weld on spring perchs. Also they are wider 59" I think or it might be 60".

Correct, the wagon and sedan/hatch axles are all the same width. I actually was using a 73 wagon axle in my 78 sedan until I found my 8". Then that axle was transplanted into my 73 station wagon since it was lower mileage.
