What are your goals?

A turbo is almost "free" power, but most at the upper RPM ranges.

A supercharger gives you power all through the RPM range, but eats some of the HP it makes.

Plumbing can be an issue for either.

If you are adding this to s stock N/A engine keep the boost pressure DOWN.

i'm a fan of turbos myself. With a turbo, you can turn the boost up or down inside your car with no tools.  Supercharger boost is linear and constant so fuel consumption will be higher, to change boost settings you require a pulley change. A mild 302 with two T3 turbos will make enough boost to crack a factory block, and ive found a header that's cheap and MAY work with little to no modifications (for twins) I'll know more later this month if they'll work although i'm using twin T4 turbos.

Thanks guys, i was shying towards the turbo's too, i was thinking about doing it junk yard style and making it twin turbo around 5 pounds er 7 pounds? i was thinking about getting the headers and just mig the fittings on the end pointing toward the rad But post later about those headers please. Maybe, could i get all the parts from Donner t-birds? what do you guys think? do you think it'll fit without too much cutting of the inner fenders? maybe just go with one turbo? MY goal is a 10 er 11 second street pinto to get me back and forth to gr 10 haha!! ;D

I was thinking about this more and more. I have it somewhat worked out in my head. Can you give me an estimate (cheapest parts possible) to put twin turbo or just single turbo on the pinto? Do you think if i took the intercooler and turbo from t-bird this would work? i was also wondering what motor health risks are there to my motor.

One more thing, If you take the boost from the intercooler into the carb, and down into the motor wont that be running lean and at idle? Wont the mixture be set up to balance the extra boost... at say open throttle?
 ??? i don't know...

I hope you understand what I'm trying to figure out I'm not quite an expert yet.

thanks fellas, Jordan Mac Isaac

take a look at this site....do some searches.  If you ask questions BEFORE you search you'll get blasted by the board member!  You can use two turbocoupe turbos and they will work well on a 302 (either the Garretts or the IHI's but the garretts are better) Start out with a 302 HO from a 5 liter mustang...they had forged pistons from the factory. The carb will need to be modified for blow thru, and the fuel pump/regulator will need to be boost referanced to increase fuel pressure when in boost situations.

www.turbomusta ngs.com  and go to the forums.
