should i buy...?
« on: November 13, 2003, 01:41:12 PM »
hello all,

i'm just looking for some advice on a 75 pinto runabout that i'm looking to possibly buy.  the car is an automatic, 2.3 L german engine.  the body is in good condition as is the interior.  the paint is faded and it will probably need new shocks.  it only has 33 K miles on it.  it was used as a grocery getter for snowbirds in AZ, so there is no issues with rust.  it looks remarkably clean for it's age.  the seller is asking $1,500.00.  is this a fair price?  is there anything i should look for?  i've done a little bit of research and it appears the automatics are not as well liked, i don't like automatics in general, but is there something else i should know about this car's specific performance?  any help or suggestion are much appreciated... thanks

chris
