Looking For a Hot N/A 2.3 setup
« on: October 26, 2003, 12:26:59 PM »
What i'm lookin for is a good combo for an internally stock 2300. i'd love to see good cam specs, and intake, exhaust combos. this is my 1st buildup of a motor. I'm on a low budget, so completly rebuilding the motor is out. besides the motor has less than 20k on a rebuild. what do you guys suggest for an intake/carb , cam, exhaust header.

(if i ever hit the lottery i'd love to supercharge a 2.3 with an eaton unit  ;D )

I think your thinking of someone else. I've never messed with a Volvo head, but I know on the Turboford site..more the one person is tring to do it.

My '80 Pinto Pony had a Offenhauser 4bbl intake with a 390 4bbl carb and a header.  It was a blast to drive, but a cam and maybe some gears would have realy made it come alive,
Hot Rod Mag. did a story (early 80's) titled," More Ponies for the Pinto", which had three different engine build up instructions.  I intended to complete the first stage but ran out of money.  You might want to contact HR via internet to request a copy.
Hope this helps.
