Door code and trim numbers
« on: September 14, 2004, 08:44:26 AM »
Sabrinas' door code has a FOUR alphanumeric code instead of 2.  I can find out what the first 2 are by using Joels' VIN decoder program but have no idea what the other 2 letters mean.  The code is 8GNW.  The 8G is for Vista Orange which I already knew but NW?  Perhaps it refers to the roof type?  I cannot find any info on this anywhere.  Suggestions?

Is there anywhere on the vehicle to determine what the original color of the carpet was?  Mine, like most has faeded and I want to replace as near to the original color as possible.  I realize I may have to get it dyed which will require me selecting a section of the carpet that I think is nearest the original and send it off for a match.  The interior code is DT but the carpet looks to be of an orange shade.  TIA!

Steve, I come up with Beige-brown. Anything with a 'T" in it was beige-brown. The D would indicate the type of material used in the seats. If it was Orange it would have been a "C" code behind the "d". The carpet is probably really faded. what does it look like ( under) the seats, front or rear?
