Distributor VACUUM Line ???
« on: June 18, 2003, 10:45:59 PM »
I was checking on the way a 1979 2.3 VACUUM LINES were connected and found what seems to be errors ??? The Distributor was connected to the Rear manifold PORT .... I have FORD's 1979 shop manuals and really they don't seem to show very clearly where emission / vacuum connections go.  BUT IT APPEARS THAT THE DISTRIBUTOR PROBABLY OR MAYBE IS CONNECTED TO ONE OF THE CONNECTIONS ON THE CARB ("PORTED VACUUM CONNECTION") ???????    D O E S   A N Y O N E  K N O W ?????

There are some vacuume lines diagrams in the files section of the Pinto Mailing list group.

If the above pic doesn't work, goto http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/pinto/files/Technical%20Info/ and click on the 79vac_sys.gif .

Hope this helps,
