2.0 Cam timing
« on: January 06, 2004, 10:56:19 AM »
Hello all,

I know the technique to for cam timing on a 2.0 motor (lining up the pulley marks, etc), but does anyone have the stock cam specs?  I'd like to put a degree wheel on the thing and set it exactly.

Thanks in advance,

Chuck

This from my 1971 shop manual:

intake valve opens (btdc) 0.014@18 deg
intake valve closes (abdc)0.019@70 deg

exh      valve opens (bbdc)0.014@64 deg
exh      valve closes (atdc) 0.019@24 deg

hope it helps you out
