Description: based on a mid 50's Kurtis indy car chassis this car had a 488"big block chevy with bosch timed mechanical fuel injection, twin (huge) airesearch turbos, an air-to-water intercooler and a th400 with a homemade overdrive.  

last record held at 298mph. subsequent run at over 300 saw a panel tear on chute when it was pulled and the car decided to 'fly'
