Charlotte Motor Speedway is looking for a Pinto to be showcased at its Spring AutoFair that is happening April 7-10. We are looking for someone who lives near Charlotte North Carolina since it is such short notice. If anyone has any information please let me know and it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and I hope to hear something soon.

I was contatced as were many of the other members on this and this post was listed here a few months back. This Pinto will be for a display that will be put next to a GT40 and ropped off on the infield with a very select group of cars.  They also will have similar set ups for other manufacturers.  A Gremlin next to a AMX and Vega next to some top of the line Chevy.  This would have to be an all original car, keep in mind this may not be the best showcase and may attract some laughter, but they have stated you can place a sign with the car (maybe displaying the truth about the rear end gas tank issue, or an advertisement for the 40th or the Stampede or all of the above) It could be a good showcase and get your car some media time and attention, but not all positive.  But as Pinto owners we have gotten used to that.  They do not want any high performance Pintos, they don't want to show up the GT.
