About 12 years ago I struggled to find a windshield for my 64 Studebaker Daytona. Delivered (new) it was about $600+. Eventually I found a guy who had two used for $100 each. Scratched, bullseye-ed and even too large in the corner because it was for a convertible. He angle grinded the corner and they didn't break. I then spent 10 hours building a support that allowed the two windshields to BARELY fit in my son's Honda Civic with the back seat removed. Thankfully my son was going near by where the windshields were, 400 miles away. They made the trip safely but the even the better of the two, its bullseye has a crack that grows about 1/128th of an inch each year. Doesn't seem like much but 12 years later it is 3/16th of an inch. It is what we have to do to keep the cost of a collector car reasonable these days.

With all that in mind I grabbed a Pinto windshield to have as a spare at a Pick Your Part 50% off sale 8 or so years ago. It was $20 out the door. I consider it a good investment because..., you NEVER know... .

I paid 600 for one years ago. Then found a bunch more & bought all 6 for I think it was 100 each.

Assuming it fits properly (made in China), that's not really a bad price for a brand new windshield.

Good point, I went to the garage, and checked the manufacturer's marking on the lower passenger side of my Pinto's windshield, (second thumbnail picture down in the Ebay add) and it's,

ASI M854
DOT-459

Turns out I bought one myself from the Windshields to Go warehouse in Anaheim, Ca. I paid $295 for it. Fortunately, I live close by and didn't have to pay for shipping. The install went without issue.
