that's the beauty of it,quick eye it's a pinto. it is registered as a 72 ford pinto sedan, little clues are only obvious to the in know. nobody has even came close to figuring whats really going on. most think its a pinto with a v8 and its difference is chevy powered.the complete platform, independent rear posi with discs 700r4 trans 350 as well as close ratio rack and pinion and aluminum a arms. all corvette 1985 exactley, and now even better reason. it costs me 38.77 a year to reg my 85 corvette and full coverage insurance for two years 166,29 thank you very much

Heres my comments. The whole vette thing/ pinto thing doesn't bother me still want to do the same thing to a scion XB. Only things I would change would be the Auto and the 350 swap in a LS1 tons more performance and less weight and a 6 speed. Maybe build some fender flares to cover the tires from sticking out so far.
Have you ever weighed it like at all 4 corners to see how balanced it is from front to rear?

Man i would love to swap in ls power an a 6spd. it's all about the benji's bae no green no scream. total build cost for pinette is 1,260 thats everything including the registration, the cars ,the gas. NO i have not been able to weigh it at four individual corners just the whole at 2,610.

what prompted you to do this build?
i had made a promise to Lucy(corvette) that i would make her prowl the streets again someway after two years of owning it all i had accomplished was making it run again, and removing the 11years Worth of top off window down storage the interior was a complete loss.after the money i figured to buy all the parts to make it legal in ca plus requisition 2,200 and that's noting Else like a seat ,or tires or...then a Friend of mine came over with his recently acquired 72 pinto sedan, with a half a million miles on it.i was going to update it for him from the 2.0 to the 2.3 fuel injected any who we pushed it up into the yard next to Lucy. we were not trying to line it next to any thing, put it in the yard to rip it apart. couple days later i happend to be enjoying a pipe when i noticed that the wheel well lined up all most identical so i broke out the tape for conformation and not to much enjoying, then i started talking crazy and most every body was like sure whatever. some even argued that it was impossible. except the owner of the pinto he said i know you can .the pinto was not mine and still is not. this mutant took 7 months and 12 days to make

Holy Moses man. This is sick. The idea of doing this with a C6 vette had crossed my mind but my pocketbook wouldn't allow that haha. But you're is awesome. Is it an lt1 car?

not a lt1 its a l98 that i converted over to carburetor with a Holley 750 edelbrock proformer manifold a msd billet dist and blaster coil. it only weighs 2,610 pnds so it moves with out effort. its light enough that one morning i got up and the back tire was low. i drove up the street to a Friends house to put some air in the tire, it had 6pnds in it yet no damage to the rim or tire. also it dosn 't leave black marks when it spins it just cleans the dirt off the black top
