Tonight we towed the car to the shop so tomorrow and sunday I'll FINALLY be able to start working on it (til we gotta drag it back to the parking lot @ my brother's place Sunday night)
She wasn't terribly happy about starting, and this poor 2.3 sure has been abused, but after a few minutes she was feeling much better. Took her out for a bit of donut action in the icy lot.. this is the most I've ever actually driven this car, and I just can't wait til I can drive her everyday!!
Some of the stuff I want to get done this weekend include replacing the negative battery cable, replacing yet MORE peanut bulbs/sockets (I've never seen a car with so many burnt out lights), changing one of the headlights with a freebie bulb I grabbed at a wrecking yard, (once she's on the road I'll buy 2 new ones.. working with a TIGHT budget here) trying out some seat covers/test fitting some Mustang seats - I have my doubts on them fitting but worth a try anyways, and just finally driving her around the big lot and getting a feel for her. I'll be bringing along the camera to get some new shots of her as well
Also be replacing the highbeam dimmer switch if I get the chance.
Thus far I've replaced the rocker panel trim, got a snazzy new gas cap, new battery and positive cable, cleaned up the interior and removed the beauty trim rings.
