transmission linkage problem ?????
« on: June 07, 2009, 09:19:00 PM »
Anybody had the problem with the linkage bracket rounding  off on the c-3 automatic transmission? The bracket looks like it was pressed fit or soldered on to a rod coming out of the transmission.S pent all day under the car disassembling the transmission just to get it out.

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier, it is a splined shaft and yea, they can strip out. On derby cars we just spot weld them with it still in the trans.
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
