Title: Sloppy Door Hinge
Post by: John Turner on May 02, 2012, 06:48:32 AM
72 Pinto Wagon - Removed doors for rust fix and replaced them.  Driver's door hinge worn out, shims fell out, sloppy up and down.  (When you lift the door handle the door travels up 1/2 or so.)  So do I look for a new hinge?  Can I have the current hinge fixed? (Welded, Shimmed).  Thanks, jt

you could replace the bronze bushing with with ones from a ford fox body mustang like i did. the pins you may need to search around for the right dia.
