Questions on short V-8 water pump
« on: April 07, 2010, 05:55:11 AM »
Has anyone here used the Ford Racing M-8501-E351S short
water pump?
I got one from Summit Racing and now I am being told that I
need to buy a different vibration damper $300 different pulleys
and some sites tell me I also need to replace the timing chain
cover. My question is WHY? I can understand the need for some
different pulleys but I am confused on the other items.
 '64 289 w/smaller 5 bolt bell housing going into (someday) a
'76 wagon.
I will appreciate any help with this.
