OK, I bought this 1976 Pinto for the wife but she enjoys driving the 80 turbo more. Wonder why? Anyway, I wanted to step off the edge a little with the 76. Since it is my daily driver, I cannot step to far. 1st, Why UAV? Urban Activity Vehicle. I will keep the same running gear But make it fun. Alot of Ideas that I have been keeping for years will be used on this car. AND no, The spray can paint job was NOT done by me. That is how is was when I bought it.       more later

UPDATE: The Exhaust noise was driving me nuts. So I removed the Converter and made a patch. Then blazed a trail with the muffler dragging to tha Muffler Shop. Now it's got a neat little rumble to it. While on the rack, I saw alot of Oil. Dang it, I am gonna have to do tha Bottom end.  I have a spare block, Now I need tha time and cash.

Before you rebuild, replace the front and rear seals they do fail after all.... Check with turboford on how to change them, and no you do not need to get the $$$ tool .You might not need to rebuild just change the seals and or change the oil pan gasket......Th e front cover has seal and you remove the trans and flywheel and their you are for the back......It does not look like a big deal.....At least do a compression check and decide to rebuild...

That is my plans fer today. Do a compression check that is. Then I will know which way I want to go. Or should I say need to go. Being a Daily Driver I need to keep it rolling.

Update: Been getting "tha 80" ready for the stampede so I haven't done much to "tha UAV". But I am working on a Experimental A/C so it will be more comfortable to drive back -n- forth to work. But I did find my "Special" paint  with a color that I may just have to try. Photo's of Experimental A/C to come soon..........
