« on: June 06, 2012, 03:53:42 AM »
What happens when you mix a 77 Bobcat with a
75 Jeep CJ ?
An almost finished project that kicks butt  :)

Hey, its Az , lots of hills to climb and
Imports to crush :)

I WANT ONE!!!! and... I LIKE IT!!!!

I did some looking at Pinto's on Bronco (1966-1977) and saw that they don't fit without Massive Firewall mods. Looking at the Jeep CJ's it looked like you might be able to get the Pinto to fit much easier. Can you share some info on how you did this? maybe some good pictures showing details? I want to build one and anything you could share would be helpful.

last one for now..
Ill have more in a day or so of the interior and engine bay
and underneath.
some 15x10 American Racing or Alcoa rims are
next on the agenda for next week.
Id like to add a front skid plate and possibly a pushbar or
similar I can mount some extra lighting to also soon.

in hindsite, I prob should of used a Bronco chassis and all
but oh well. The 6 in there is decent and I know the jeep
suspension is reliable.
I dont take it offroad much, for the sake of not having much
time anymore. Would love to take it to the Dunes in Yuma, thats a mecha
for offroad enthusiast from Oct till the Spring almost every weekend.
But luckily you can drive about 10 miles out of town and be 4 wheeling
if you want.
Putting some old 2 pcs Enkie star rims on later this week with a nicer
set of BFGs.  pix to come !

I'm really curious how the body fit, I have some pictures of a wagon on a Bronco and looks to me major mods to the firewall and tunnel to make it fix. I want to see the difference with a Jeep frame and drivetrain.

Those wheels do look better. Not as "trucky" as the other wheels & look more like what people would put on a Pinto.

It almost looks to natural with those wheels on it. Take some pictures of how the body is mounted on it if you don't mind. Realy curious about under the hood (Fire wall)
