Title: Newbie with a project problem
Post by: tweaked on June 09, 2015, 12:05:01 AM
I like to refer to my 71 pinto as the pinto in a box. The car was completely disassembled when I got it. I'm trying to put the front suspension back together. I am missing the bolts to bolt the upper control arms to the frame. They seem to be 1/2" thread with a 9/16 shank. Any ideas would be great.
Thanks Roger

Bolts are my shops biggest staller on jobs. I ended up buying a bolt bin. You may want to just pick up an assortment of bolts.

Thanks but they are not a standard type of bolt as they are 1/2' thread with a 9/16" shank.

Well I also got a 72 that I am going to start working on in a month or two , I can pull one of the bolts a measure it for you for the right size and length, then I can pull one from my 76 pinto parts car and see if they are the same too, good to know if someone needs this info in the future,  it always happens when you take something apart , you ether have not enough nuts and bolt to finish it   Or   To many left over and don't know where they go 🙀
