Title: My introduction and Turbo Pinto
Post by: biggrgivens on November 03, 2014, 10:07:57 AM
Hi Guys, My name is chip AKA biggrgivens on several boards. I've had a love for turbo 2.3's for at least 12 years and have built Turbo Tbirds, and SVO's. The first car I took my drivers test in was a Pinto, and I always wanted to give it a shot.

I went on craigslist and found a car that looked like a good prospect. It wasnt perfect, and had rust, so to me it would be the perfect prospect. I didnt want a perfect restored car to cut up and beat on, and just needed a car that I could drive home with current tags.

I flew out to Seattle and drove her home LA California. It was a straight 13 hour drive with no sleep, but she made it over the grapevine and grant pass. Trust me when I say there was many prayers on the trip.

Got her home and it took me about two weeks for total install
Parts list
Merkur harness
Merkur long block
Boblog header
86 SVO ecu
86 SVO trans
Merkur throttle cable
BIG VAM and brown top injectors
pinto C4 driveshaft
boblog custom inatke
small truck NPR intercooler
custom 3" exhaust
72 maverick rear end
Mustang battery relocation kit
2.3 pinto pan
flex fan
walbro 190lph inline pump

I would like to thank Pinto Barn, Joey, and earl for advice and help getting this car running.

Heres a nice vid of car walk around. Hope you like it
