Mirror upgrade #1
« on: May 12, 2013, 07:43:28 PM »
I upgraded the internal mirror in Wee Beastie with a bigger mirror with a day and night flapper from a late model Ford. I'm not sure if it'll be much of an improvement with the narrow rear window of a Pinto sedan. But I mainly wanted to see through the passenger porthole while doing those scary across four lane changes in less that an a mile on I-80, I-480, and I-680.

Is it just me or do a lot of those Ford mirrors tarnish in this odd fuzzy glove print looking way?

My 78 sedan had a day night mirror from the factory but the reflective suface started to deteriorate.I just use a panoramic clip on now which helps with the blind spots!
