I HAVE A 73 PINTO AND LOOKING FOR INPUT ON A V8 SWAP,,,WHATS THE EASYWAY,REAR SUMP OIL PAN OR FRONT,DOES THE FIREWAL NEED TO BE MODIFIED,DOES THE SUSPENSION HAVE TO BE CHANGED,WHAT ABOUT MOTOR MOUNTS,ANY INPUT WILL BE NICE..THANKS

FRONT SUMP PAN.FIREWALL NEEDS MOD IF YOU WANT MORE WEIGHT TO THE REAR.

MII or Milodon front sump pan is best. Early firewall usually gets beat with a BFH but cutting & welding looks better. MII V8 mounts are the de rigueur but are pricey. The old Hooker mounts are rare but do pop up at times, home made mounts that bolt to the head like engine plates are an option or with some decent fab skills you can make your own. MII V8 springs with a couple coils removed work up front.

Search the archives, it's been done many ways.

Hi, I made the swap with my Pinto, I also put in a durospark modual. I can't seem to get the thing wired up right. Can anyone help me with this issue?
