Front/Rear Shock Mod

Has anybody ever modded the Front/rear shock mounts  to utilize after market shocks from another vehicle, say a mustang ?  the choices are huge compaired to the choices offered to the pinto world.

hey pinto guys i been working with bilstines in la cal thay are maked a  sport shock for pintos with a maier sport package   the place  is calls rcd in la cal talk to steve he know my pinto and has made a sport shock for my old pinto racer  so get in touch with him

this would be for a drag car, specifically  90/10's in front and 50/50's in the rear.  or adjustables, like the ones that are available to the mustang crowd.

well I guess everybody is running oem type shocks...?    I did find these for the front.

the comp eng shocks are junk do/nt waste ur money . the afcos are for oval racing never work for drag,, i pm,d u some info

Dunno about the rear but in the front you could always run QA1 coil overs at right around 500 they aint cheap though.

Regarding the front shocks, I did some searching and found that some of the Datsun/Nissan Pick up shocks came close to meeting the physical characteristic s of Pinto shocks. But, being that you mentioned 90/10's I doubt there would be something specific for that.
