That's mine...I bought it...state-side. Now just need the side-drafts to go with it. :) lol
Well, they (2.0s) do love the revs...they really do!!! The racers won't steer you wrong. :)

You just bought yourself a financial can of worms. Rewarding if you can go the distance. Both 40s and 45s will work (45s may need to be choked down for the street). Carbs will set you back $400 +/- and you may still need to have them rebuilt $$$. Try to get the carb linkage with the carbs if possible as it is pricey. To maximize the set up, you will need a better than stock cam and a header. In my opinion, the rear end gears should be minimum of 3.73 but 4.11s are better to take advantage of the higher RPM. 7500RPM with 160HP is easy with this setup and it will definitely have the WOW value under the hood.

It's going in the 'future project' tub for the present while I gather the other components. I couldn't pass it up.
I think a header will be my next acquisition, since they seem to be the hardest to find. Cams and carbs are easy (and as you mentioned, not cheap). :)
I am considering getting the carbs new (300+ each) to avoid possible frustrations/wasting money on possible crap used carbs.

I started down the same parts path with my street Pinto as you but instead found a complete low hour A.K. Miller draw through turbo set up. My son has had great success with his so I changed course and went turbo. I will also add for the twin carb set up, a good investment is an MSD "soft touch" chipped at 7000-7500 rpm. If you miss a shift, it will save the motor.

I was honestly considering a race-built C-4.
Idk...I think bracket racing in an N/A 4 cyl Pinto would be a ton of fun.
Thinking more into it, your suggestion would still be a good backup against a grenaded auto, as well.

Regarding the linkage issue, should I throw this in the bucket (with some all thread and a few doubled nuts)?

I haven't even seen the manifold in person, and I'm still married, so you can assume I've never seen the carbs together with it. :) lol

I prefer IDF's. I have new 40's & the downdraft intake for a 2.3. I just picked up a 2.0 round port Ranger head to run with the combo. I like the idea of dual carbs & filters sticking up 8 inches above the fenders plus I can tune the crap outta a pair of IDF's.

Yeah, he had everything before you bought the intake. I go past Marengo most days & thought about buying the whole setup but I need fuel mileage out of my 2.0 & too many people have warned me that dual carbs barely get 10 mpg on a good day.

It's 150 miles from me but I drive past there on my run. I doubt he's going to drop any. He wanted $400 for everything with me picking it up.

Can't beat that deal. The linkage will end up semi-custom regardless of how you do it.

Would these carbs work? Do Weber parts fit Dellorto carbs, or is that a whole other can of worms?

I would go for something like these as a good start. You would still need to buy the velocity stacks, throttle linkage, and air filters but these are rebuilt and will bolt on to your manifold. I would not buy anything outside of the USA unless it was the only way I could get it. These come up on E-Bay fairly often, as do the extra parts you need.
