Dont like it.... mustang frontends dont fit the part only one thats kinda close would be a MII and well I really dont like the new craptangs.

Looks decent in the drawing.Now if you could actually get all those body lines to line up.I understand some people are stuck on original,or semi original,but I've also seen extreme custom cars at car shows that you'd give the left one for.

I like it! Would be sweet to see in person! The biggest things I would see would the front clip would have to be fiber glass unless you have a sheet metal fab shop to work at. Even then it would cost thousands to do it.
I'm looking at the fenders and seeing the narrow tops edge of the top of them with an oversized hood.
If I were to do it I would do whatever I could to keep as much of it sheet metal as possible. I like knowing that my car is made of steel and next to zero fiberglass. 30% of the body being fiberglass would bug me.

Hi, I'm an industrial design student, love pintos , i have 2 runabout: 71 and 72. the 71 its all original and i will keep original, and we gonna try to do this with the other , talk to some friends and a teacher and we will do some research and look for the best way to do this, we can use the tools of workshop of the university and try to do in metal much as possible.

I kind of like it, have you considered the look from the rear? would like to see if you are going to keep the 2 completely different looks... early body style rear vs the newer mustang front end.

i think a horizontal line/plane at the belt line extending from the rear of the door thru and across the rear of the car would look kinda neat. a modification to the quarter window to allow its bottom edge to match the belt line would look better too. raise the lower edge of the glass hatch to carry the new line across the back of the car & to the drivers side.

This whole thread reminds me of a Pinto project I saw in Coffeyville, Kansas back in the late '80s. Some guy was making a Pinto wagon into a Ranchero sort of Pinto pick-up. He used the liftgate window for the back of the "cab", welded the tail gate to form an enclosed bed area. The roof line was completed, bondo finished and close to finished on the exterior except the inside of the bed. The interior was never finished. ...don't imagine it had an engine in it. It sat for .?... a year. Then eventually showed up in a local salvage yard. I was sad to see it ...not get finished.
I guess it was a Pinto concept ;) of that fancy Chevy hot rod.
