Building 74 ford pinto looking for ideas
Here is my plan I want to build a pinto coupe that could have a real option from ford had thing and decisions gone a little different. I have built a 390 Windsor running about 390 hp with Holley carb and a c4 trains. I want some ideas the interior and exterior trim options would appropriate for the era badging paint scheme so on inside, outside, in in the engine compartment, wheels , tires, rear end gear,
ps please for give my grammar I am not a writer

If you actually have a '390' that is a FE engine & not a Windsor. The 390 weight is about 650# compared to 460# for a 302. Also it is quite large. Good luck fitting that into a stock Pinto engine compartment.

We put a 351w in a 76 mustangII and a 302 in our 76 pinto, the increased deck height creates a lot of clearance issues you won't have with a 302. If you want my opinion stick with the small Windsor platform. Also look for the small bell housing C4 like in the mustangII v8 cars.

'Windsor'...a man knows when he has an FE. ;) Hopefully. lol My first Ford motor was a 390...damn intake weighed 100 lbs, I swear. lol Tried to pick it up out of my Galaxie's engine bay single-handedly...my back's been screwed ever since...I was 13 then, now 32. lol
