Another V8 conversion question

I have seen a bunch of posts regarding V8 conversions. However, I think I hit a snag as I am converting a V6 and I think the V6 frame mounts (NOT MOTOR MOUNTS) are different from the 4 cylinder as I my engine is not sitting right. I am using the mustang II motor mounts but the engine does not sit right and is off centered by a good inch. Dop the v6 INCH FRAME mounts work with the conversion or do I need the 4 cylinder...and are they different in the first place?

Any ideas? Also, any idea where to buy the needed frame mounts if they are wrong in the first place?

I have a stock '75 V6.  I have taken the engine to rebuild it, and, yes, the engine IS offset to the passenger side.  I am not able to slide my hand down between exhaust manifold and the frame.   The only reason I can think of is to give plenty of clearance for the steering shaft.

All the V 8 conversions I've done , I center the engine.
I've always made my own frame mounts.

I off-set mine to leave room for steering and master cyl,one thing to remember w/ my build is that very little of the car floor was used.
