74 Turbo Pinto out of the garage finally
« on: September 07, 2015, 07:48:48 PM »
Finally was able to get this thing out of the garage. Its not finished but its running and driving at least. I won't be able to finish it since I was injured in a another car accident several months ago. It was all I could do to get it this far...so sad to say I'm going to have to sell it. But I thought I would share some pics.

Not sure I've ever seen the intercooler plumbed that way. And what is the dash? Very interesting.

Thanks guys. Yeah I hate to sell it but it would be a long time before I'm able to finish it. I did put an add on Craigslist a couple months ago but never added pictures. About the time I put it on there my infant daughter was put in the hospital twice, once out of town so I finally just took the add down till I could get everything together and the pictures taken. It will make someone a cool car.

The dash is all fiberglass with a 98 Cobra gauge cluster, the water temp and oil pressure need the correct senders to work but everything else does.

That's a damn shame, but if it's a choice of the car for the benefit of the kid, the car's gotta go. Take care of that little girl, there will be other projects.

She's ok now thank God. Reason for selling is because I'm physically unable to continue working on it from back and neck injuries from 2 separate car accidents in the past 2 years (elderly drivers).

That's good news. If you're not hard up for the cash, try to make sure it lands in capable, worthy hands. And maybe get a few burn outs in first!

Sorry about your injuries and the project end.  Just wanted to show the link below so people here can appreciate all of the custom fabrication you have done on this project.

Thanks for posting that I almost forgot how much work I've put into this thing. Hate to see it go, wish I had the ability to finish it.

Yes it is something different but not to bad, my old electric commutacar was made there , any idea what you might ask for it , it's a head start on a project the has the engine installed already, the wheels set the car off very nicely, a good pant job would be in order ,

76 Pinto sedan V6 , 79 pinto cruiser wagon V6 soon to be diesel or 4.0

You could just tow this one around behind your work truck, and finish it at stop signs.

Just blew a seal on the turbo taking my wife for a joy ride lol. Still runs great just down on power. I'd take $5800 for it right now. If I can't get at least that I'm just going to slap a new turbonetics turbo on it and ship it to Alabama and have my brother do the paint and body work on it.
