Crazy idea
« on: July 02, 2017, 01:42:45 PM »
Hey all

It's been a while since i have been here but I have a crazy idea I want to ask you guys about

I have a 1980 pinto with a turbo 2.3 and a dry shot of nitrous

It's a quick little guy runs 12s in the 1/4

My thoughts are body mods now

I have a  T-top roof from a Mustang II I am thinking to graft on to the pinto

I know I would have to re-skin doors and try to use mustang doors as well

Is this a stupid idea?

Just thinking that's all

Dave

I couldn't agree more.  A lot of work for??? If one did it just for themselves they had better love it for a lifetime. Otherwise there would be no outside appeal. "Crazy idea," - I think you answered your own question.  Sorry to sound so harsh it is not my intention to be so.

Question, are the Mustang II and Pinto front clips swap-able like the early 60's Falcon and Comets? I've seen some "Comet-zed" Ranchero's that  cause a double take when seen.  I've also seen similar where the Mustang front clip has been put on a Fairmont.
