Here is the deal. I just scored a 1930 Mercedes kit car and the motor is a 1981 pinto stock. I know absolutely nothing about these cars. I know my issue lies within the carb and fuel. Are there any how to's on changing fuel pump or just straight info on an 81 on this site?

Are these like coming up for sale all over the place? How did you find yours?

No '81 Pinto motor, they quit making them in 1980.......... .............. ........the 2.3 used there was used in other cars in '81 however.

First thing you need to do is get the correct year Pinto service manual. That will help you a lot right off the bat.

If it has a feedback carb good luck with that.......... .............. .
