possible trans-am pinto in my future....
« on: September 08, 2011, 02:58:16 PM »
ive come across a very unique race car that sam (FASTR) and myself might be doing a colaberation on..... its a 72 i think, pinto trans-am series road racer....it ran in the 2 liter and under class..... n/a engine.... if it happens ill show the car as it is in its current state and progress of the build also.....the final product will be a restored racer as it ran in its debute... slated for us to have fun with in the vintage series....sam is highly interested and we are currently trying to verify the history of the car as it supposedly was campaigned by bob bondurant.. i have a call in to him and am awaiting a reply... hopefully he did indeed run this car and has some photos and documentation that would identify this as his car for that series... hopefully more to follow..... ______________ ____

ALL under 2.5L Trans-Am cars had an ID tag made out of coper/brass with the cars class and other info attached to the roll cage. There is also a Trans-Am regestary with a listing of all cars that ran the class at a legal Trans-Am race. Google it.
Its better to be a has-been, than a never was.
