Our latest grab - '79 2.3 road racer
« on: July 18, 2010, 08:33:09 PM »
Won't go into the details, but this was the buy of the century.
Got the car, a 2010 SCCA inspection, on Goodyear slicks, new set of Dunlop rain tires (mounted), new fuel cell bladder, ready to race.  For spares, got 2 trannys, a rear end, 5 set of brakes, 2 fenders, hood, trunk lid, boxes of odds and ends, a second seat, etc.  Plan just to run vintage after we get to a driver's school.
Have put headlights, turn signals, horn, etc. to make it legal for street use.  Has a Super Trapp muffler so it isn't all that loud.  Live across the street from a state cop and he says go for it, will carry a Wisconsin Hobbist registration.
I will add pix as soon as I figure out how - - -

Great find and  :welcome:
Love the old road racers and it sounds like a good time! The vintage racing series is great.
There is a post somewhere on here that details how to submit pics, they need the be shrunk down most of the time.
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
