New addition to the stable- 1980 Cruising Wagon
« on: May 04, 2012, 08:45:57 AM »
Well, some of you might remember the car I'm mentioning from a few years ago. I found this Pinto about a hour away from my house and didn't have the cash at the time to buy it. So, I showed it to my uncle and he fell in love with it. We took a trip with a trailer up to where the car was located and the deal was made. He promised that I would have first option on the car if he went to sell it...turns out that all worked out nicely and I have aquired the 1980 Ford Pinto Cruising Wagon that I went to pick up for him.
The car is in pretty great shape for the age...the previous owner kept it in the garage the entire time he owned it. Its an extremely solid car with an OK paint job that isn't very old. It just isn't the best job...some minor imperfections here and there from poor prep gives it a good '20 appearance lol. Interior is in very good, original condition with an UNCRACKED!! dashpad and decent seats. The carpet has seen better days and is worn through in some places... and the headliner has just a couple tears in it but is in overall decent shape. I'm sure the body has filler in it from where it was repainted but thats usually certain when a vehicle this age has had body work. Its a good looking and good running car for a daily driver or cruise in show contestant. Just another pony to spend money on...haha. Wouldn't have it any other way.

And to boot, the original build sheet along with a service letter from Ford is in the glove box in a bag with the mint condition owners manual and warrenty cards! =D
Also have the original set of Rallye's and center caps w/ beauty rings, as well as the rear window louver and a set of vintage chrome Ventshade
