My New Toy for 2011 - The Pangra

built from the mail order kits available in the 70's

2.0L Turbo Motor was pulled a few years back for the upgraded V8 in it now

I have the 2.0L Turbo Motor and was part of the deal when I purchased it

This one shall stay a V8 but that turbo motor may find it's way into my other 73

WHAT!?! After all those chocolate chip cookies he scarfed down!? I don't believe it! Riding in that Green Bullet would go so nicely with his chocolate-fueled caffeine rush.

Hey Reeves1, I have seen them before, made to fit with standard motormounts and standard location is my guess. Since this has the motor plate they wern't required but yes, they look awesome.

There was a set of flat collector headers on Ebay this year but I believe they specified either 351C or 302 Boss so they made several versions. Price was $300 or so if I remember right & they were never used.

I got to look at the original headers that were on the B2 when it was in my car. Beat up bad & the guy wants way too much for them.
Turns out they have a stamp on them: JR Headers.
I Googled lots & have yet to find the company. I would think they kept the "plans" on what they built & could make another set ?
Ever heard of them ?

Last quote I got for new custom made in Alberta Canada was minimum $3800.00.

They were listed earlier this year. It's been a good 5 months cause I've been with my current GF 4 months & I saw them before I met her.

Don't know how current there listings will be.  I would not be surprised if they stopped making them years ago.

Yup, you sent pictures. Hard to really see what they look like though, with them mounted in the car with the engine.

79 prostreet - we traded PMs before. Never did get pictures. Yours are the 2" meant for Clevor heads (BOSS 302) ? I had thought yours were the smaller ones for a 302w ?
Take pictures of them & with a proper measurement of tube size. Would also need a good picture of the port flange (where it bolts to the head), that shows the shape. I have read your sale ads & no mention of which engine they fit. Nor that a person needs the special engine mounts to use them. (we also talked on the phone)
To be honest, I'd rather deal with a business. Even if it would cost double +. If I bought yours, and they didn't fit......

If I get that style, after a fitting I would get them ceramic coated.

Yep, thats the set I saw on Ebay. I didn't know they still make them but I knew the ad said Boss 302. They used to be called "flat collector headers" in the old days.

It is going to be a busy day, but I'll post an up-date after I call them on the phone.
My 2007 F-350 died at work & I had to trailer it to the local Ford dealer. I have to go in & hand my keys to them & generally hang out being a pest till they find out what is wrong/broke. Drive line still under warranty. But what is wrong/broke may not be.....so I want to keep an eye on them so they do not spend my money ! I may be able to get the part at the junk yard & fix it myself for less.
I strongly dislike new vehicles computers.....

edit:

Got the truck fixed. It was the FICM. No idea what or where it is, but it was stuck open. Warranty covered.

Got home & called the Summit tech support. He said yes, they will work on my car. But they do not stock the headers or motor mounts. They call Headman, order them & when they come in ship to the person. May try & get direct from Headman.....

just desire to settle some dust. the headers I have fit a sbf like my post said ( 1 1/8 x 1 3/4 ) ports, not the bigger clevor style heads. I bought them off ebay and had no idea they required a plate for use until this post. If someone feels I'm trying to mislead I am not, was just unaware, sorry for any misleadings. I have changed my headers for sale post to tell of the need for an engine plate.
